FIGHT TO LEGALISE VIC SHARE DRIVERS CONTINUES

Today Melb. Uber Operations Head Brad Kitschke made a submission to State Transport Minister Jacinta Allen, arguing for share riding services to be regulated under the taxi and hire car industry until more appropriate legislation can be drawn up.

Clearly, right now is the best time to contact Minister Jacinta Allen and the Premier to tell them the share drivers point of view and make sure they do not forget your needs when they pen the new regulations. Opportunities like this only come once.

  • Are you worried about the State Govt permanently imposing Taxi Licence Fees on drivers, currently set at $22,000 every year?

  • Concerned about your ability to make Superannuation Payments after the introduction of the GST?

  • Perhaps you'd like the legislators to put in place certain protections for drivers so that the new rules are not a major disadvantage?

  • Are you worried about the resale value of your car after applying GST?

  • Being forced into a higher tax bracket as a result of driving as a second job and feel you are making a big enough tax contribution?

  • Do you have the time to submit BAS statements or pay a book keeper to do it on your behalf?

These are just some of the issues.

Email the Minister for Transport and the Premier with your concerns TODAY

Or write a letter, that's always better...
